The Path to Ms. Connecticut Senior America 2024

My path to Ms. Connecticut Senior America 2024 was unexpected. I had little understanding of what pageants truly entailed until I discovered the world of pageants for women over 60.

What caught my attention was the organization’s focus on a woman’s inner beauty — celebrating grace, vitality and wisdom. The call to support and encourage older women while sharing insight with younger generations deeply resonated with me, inspiring me to enter the Ms. Connecticut Senior America 2024 pageant.

Winning the title is just a day — a day that challenges you on many personal levels from public speaking and sharing your truth, demonstrating your talent, interviewing with a panel of judges and much more. The day itself is filled with many emotions, but it’s not about the crown or the day. What truly matters to me are all the days that follow.

With the title, my mission begins and focuses on enriching the lives of seniors and supporting educational and leadership opportunities for young women through work with organizations like Girls With Impactand Bellarmine College at Fairfield University, as well as progressing the conversation on economic and leadership empowerment for women. And yes, dancing for charitable causes continues to contribute to my joy and hopefully to those in an audience – of course!
