My North Star
“Even as a child, I was drawn to God.
That hasn’t changed.”
I have held many roles over 68 years. I built a career in marketing management across corporate America and the nonprofit world. I am a national ballroom dance champion, a certified spiritual director, and a published author. I am trained as a hospice volunteer and am certified as an advocate for coercive control victims. It’s been a professional smörgåsbord.
I am also a wife of forty years, a mother, and a grandmother. I have learned collaboration from business, discipline from sport, and humility from everywhere. For me, it is all anchored in faith.
In 2025, I entered the Ms. Senior America Pageant — mostly to sharpen my stage presence for the ballroom world. Contestants were asked to share their Philosophy of Life. Mine starts with this: seeking God in all things. Even as a child, I was drawn to God. That hasn’t changed.
As a spiritual director, I sit with women who finally have the space for some of the most honest conversations of their lives. The questions they bring aren’t always the ones that get asked out loud. There is often a sense that there is more to life — but it isn’t clear yet what that is.
I don’t pretend to be an expert. I am someone who has obsessively studied these questions — a fellow traveler who brings contemplative listening, a faith perspective, and a genuine conviction that the second half of life, navigated honestly, can be the most meaningful you have ever had.
